Bought my car with the current waste gate setup. It has 2 wastegates on the crossover pipe which I believe are turbonetics from what the previous owner told me. My question is if I want to raise the boost to 30#s does the springs in the wastegates need to be changed ? Car has a manual boost controller like a rjc. I am not sure on the two current gates but was thinking to upgrade to a good single, what size is recommended I see there is 39mm , 46mm , etc. As of right now I am at 18#s on pumpgas 93. Car has te45a turbo if it makes a difference on the gate choices. Thanks

I have 2 delta gates, one on the x over and the other stock location. I would put some high octane in the car and adjust the RJC controller to see how much boost you can put to it, with regards to knock and detonation. If I remember correctly the Tubonetics Delta Gates came with a 7 and 14lb spring and another (cant remember) spring. One had green, lavender and the last had white paint on the springs. I cant remember if both had the white springs installed. I will look for the box to see which ones were left over. I have a manual boost controller in-car, a turn on the knob is 1 click, 1 click =1lb of boost. Fully open, it is 34lbs of boost on my car with my turbo. The car has ran the fastest @ 29 lbs of boost. The 2 delta gates are sufficient enough for a te45, IMHO. There are lots of people running the Delta gates because back in the day there weren't many companies around, you should get some very useful info.

Yes the car was built about 10 - 12 years ago and back then they didnt have good single gates that's why he put 2 of those turbonetics gates on there.
