What is the proper size of the hose from the wastegate to the factory fittings. If the hose is too large in diameter will it cause too much boost?? New to the Gn world. My car makes a lot of boost and detonates under full throttle. Still have stock gauge and pins it. Scan master on order. Just wondering about hose size?? Thanks for the input.

Don't know the "proper" size of the hose, but size shouldn't make a difference as long as it is sealed properly. If the hose leaks due to cracks or a bad seal at the fittings, it will bleed off pressure and therefore apply less pressure to the waste gate actuator. Then your puck doesn't open and you develop more boost pressure.

Factory Y had a restrictor. Here is the picture. IIRC Caspers used to sell the T and that is where the picture originates from. Most people go to some other boost control method like the RJC manual controller or homemade devices. In regards to your stock gauge, it is highly unlikely it reads correctly so you will need to get an aftermarket gauge to verify what your boost is actually doing. Also, check your wastegate actuator. If it is threaded it has been replaced with an adjustable one.
