Ive had a problem holding boost. My car is a 6spd, 1-2gears boost spikes then starts falling rapidly. 3-4 boost holds better but starts to eventually fall on the top. Is it possible that my wastegate is leting too much gas out causing boost to fall? I have the gate right below the passanger header so the first place gas hits is the top of the valve.

I sent the controller/wastegate back to turbonetics and they say everything works fine. No major leaks in the system, maybe a small pin hole but does not show up till 30psi.

What do you think should I move the gate to a differnet location?

Wastegate

On any turbo application whether single or twin the ideal location for placing the wastegate(s) is directly before the turbo mounting flange, prefferably on a 45 degree angle. In this system the exhaust pulses are all flowing in the same direction and have merged to form a "single" flow. When the wastegate operates under this condition, it usually operates flawlessly as long it is sized and installed appropriatelly. I would be suprised if turbonetics didn't recommend this to you. I and several people I know had similar problems. Relocating the wastegate and keeping the tubing running to and from the boost controlling device as short as possible works GREAT. Just my 10 cents my two cents are free
