15 pounds of boost is were you want to be before playing with the q boost controller.:D

Thanks man. I figured it would be best to start around stock. But are there any benefits, spool wise, to lengthening the rod and having the qboost do all the work or shortening it and only fine tuning with the qboost?

I guess much depends upon how much boost you are running and how your car is tuned overall.

If you have a bigger than stock turbo and have any boost control issues, you might wish to set the Q-boost controller a bit lower than 15 psi in case it spikes, unless you have alky injection progressively controlled, etc... Boost will vary somewhat with atmospheric conditions using the controller, so using the micro bleeder to fine tune is probably better than just setting the initial level so high with pump gas, and if you don't have alky.

I have mine setup at 12 psi or so, and use the micro-bleeder to get me where I want to be depending upon what fuel I am running and other factors. I have a pretty big turbo (GT6152S) compared to stock, and have had to extensively port my wastegate hole to the limits of the upgraded puck on my downpipe setup. The Q-boost would just get overwhelmed before I ported everything and spike, so I set it a bit more conservatively to keep from driving over my crank. I guess the final answer will depend on how much boost you plan on running. I run about 18-20psi on the street and set my initial at 12ish psi in the winter, and a bit more (15-16 psi) when it's warmer out.

Good luck
