that stuff has been around forever.. you don't need to run a pressurized cooling system with it, but most racing sanctioning bodies won't allow you to use it..

Yes on my last engine build I drained everything in the heater core bought a NEW radiator, new hoses had new heads , new intake EVERYTHING. I put this in my car the year 2008 in 09 i had a leak on the water pump gasket ( water pump new) I had drained it in a CLEAN container put a new water pump gasket on put the reused Evens coolant back in and have taken my cap off plenty of times with the coolant temp around 180* You should see the face of my brother when I was taking the radiotor cap off he was like get back!!! I said no problem..... You could see the coolant flowing through the flues.

If you have your system completely cleaned or even new like I did I hightly recommend it so lets see 2008 to now 2013 (5yrs) and counting I have had this same coolant in my car no corrosion problems I had an overtemp (220*) problem last year, my top radiotor hose got cut and I smelled fluid. but being smart-- I had a new top hose in the trunk and a 1/2 gallon of Evans coolant left in the trunk to top it off. Drove back home. I wouldn't buy anything else even if it was $50 a gallon. I just wish I could do my Silverado & my wifes' Pt cruiser like this. Just didn't have time to flush out everything. If I could do my wifes car her's is newer, I would but my silverado it already has the corrosion properties probably in the block so I just went another route with it.

But the Evans coolant Yes I'd do it again if I have to.

I don't know about theirs but I have a 160 stat in but in the summer my car runs 175-185 the winter 160-168 Not too bad in my book ridin my 11-10 second ride on the street even to work is Terrific and yes I get on it regular. I have a single row radiator though my A/C isn't hooked up I like the windows down lol....I travel around 30 or 40 miles one way pretty regular in the summer and go street hunting around spring.

mine runs about the same, i have an over the counter fbody radiator and some orange coolant o_O also a cottons front mount

people that want to extract more power out of a given amount of fuel?
keep it from detonating, and a hotter temp is a good thing.

i can just command my fans to come on at a higher temp if i wanted to. Surely leaving the tree at 220* isnt good for performance, right??

it could be, if you can cram as much cool air and fuel into it as possible and avoid detonation.

it's kind of getting off the topic of this thread, but a guy named Smokey Yunick had some things to say about this kind of thing..

I got it for 2 reasons: 1) One time coolant winter and summer no more maintenance as far as flushing changing out ever3-5 years like my other 2 vehicles
2) No corrosion junk inside the intake, cooling jackets, engine etc.
I first read about it in gmhightech they did on a buick about maintenance the extra benefits like lower detonation (possibly) from what I read, higher 375* overboiling temp & other stuff is just a bonus....... EDIT: Went back and found the rebuild papers I made a mistake in my first post the rebuild was done 6-10-09 so I had to have had the coolant in July of 09 instead of 08 so that would make it 4ys to date. But still good stuff.
