I'm going to be redoing my downpipe in 3" (it's currently 2.5") and making a few other changes, and as a result I will need to relocate my F.A.S.T. WBO2 sensor.

Will it shorten the sensor's life to move it within a few inches of the turbine outlet? One of my concerns is that between the length of the header tube and the additional length of the downpipe/midpipe, my current location must be 40" from the exhaust port. Moving it to the downpipe's elbow will trim that distance to ~24", right after the turbo, but it will also increase the heat.

TIA,

Jeff

I was told by FAST at least 8-12" from turbo. I also have found guys have better luck running them more vertical about 10 or 2 o-clock This helps keep moisture from building up on the sensor and possibly damaging the sensor. This is just what I have seen.
