I've got an '87 WE4 and would like to know if the regular Regal colors were availible for this model? Most of the photos I've seen were black(including my own) Any inputs?

I believe there was only one color black ext and grey interior, the reason behind was that buick had to make a lightweight version to meet some federal manurfacturing standards.

we4 is black with black trim, it's the only T with black bumpers.

I think you could get maroon interior in the WE4 as well..... not sure if there were any other colors besides maroon and gray.

Nope, all true WE-4s are black exterior and gray interior, that was the only way they were available.

You are thinking of the WH1's, the Designer model.

My WE4 is black w/ black bumpers, blackout trim, and grey interior..........

Thanks for all the clarification!I thought that was the only color but had to be sure.Wife and I are getting aggrevated though, cause all the "rivet counters" come out and disect the car and claim it's either a fake or a T-Type clone out as a GN.Love the car but really getting tired of telling the story behind it........The saga continues:smile:

Welcome to the world of owning a T-type, "Should have got a GN, those things are fast..." You just gotta learn to have fun with it, I continue the misinformation campaign when I run into a know it all.

My WE4 has the GN spoiler so I confuse alot of people, the original owner said the dealer put it on and tried to charge him for it, but he didn't order it so he fought it. Anyone know the trunk label spoiler code? I had a second one and wanted to put a maroon limited interior in it, before I knew the history of them. I got rid of the car before I did that though.

Another quick observation, seen a WE4(claimed) with the medallion mounted on the front header panel above the grille.Mine doesn't have it nor others that I've seen don't,which is correct?

No header panel emblem from the factory, although like the spoiler it doesn't take too much work to add one on there. ;)

The latest I heard was T-Types were only made before Grand Nationals were introduced, so I guess mine can not be an '87, he knew it all though. Or T-types are just white Grand Nationals, guess mine was repainted!

me (87 T) and Rico (87 GN) were at a local car show and someone commented on my cutlass and his monte ss:mad: ;)

p.s. we were parked right beside each other.......;

OMG! THat would have been great to get that on video:rolleyes:

Thankfully my car wasn't molested...just beat to hell and back a few times

T-Type was 1983-1986
Turbo-T was the 1987 WE4
All other 1987 non-GN turbo Regals were just Turbo Regals. Only the WE4 was called the Turbo-T.
All 84-86 GNs are also T-Types because the WE2 GN was an option on the T-Type.
