Web Site Building Software Question

Has anyone out there used a software package to build a personal/family website. Looking for some recommendations on a package that is simple to understand and use and doesn't cost a lot of money (prefer less than $50). Just want to put family photos and such out there. I am very much an amateur (sp?) and don't know too much about the process. Any help would be appreciated.

I use Front Page and I found a student version on-line that was free and you may be able to still find something. Otherwise, you can use Yahoo/Geocities which is free then update it later to something different if you wanted too.
