Looking for the weight of a 4" bore j&e turbo piston to compare with the weight of the pistons in the 9.0 to one asa motor

Thanks i will check the weight this weekend and see how they compare. The dioamond pistons look pretty tuff but the top ring is pretty close to the top.

Just for another comparison I run venolias in a bore of 4.055 and the slugs weigh in @ 433 grams. They do gain a little weight because we went with the pin butttons. All in all a pretty light set up.

Are these wheights with or without the pin. The weigh of mine were 550 with the pin and locks.

piston weight

The longer the rod the shorter the compression distance. The shorter the compression distance the shorter the piston itself which equals a lighter piston. So rod length and stroke greatly effects piston weight. If your comparing weight you may want to also know compression distance.
Piston pins differ in weight as well.A tapered wall pin would weigh less than a solid wall pin.
Sometimes things aren't apples to apples:D
