but what are some measures to keep my car stock appearing but being able to remove alot of weight

I got one of those brackets for the front bumper, company had the others bought so I didnt get the other number
I think they are part #s 25517838 and 25517839
the one I need is the 25517838

I have a hollow front sway bar, I removed the sound deadner from the back seat

what else is there?
please note I drive this car all the time so I am looking for something that can be removed permanently

thanks

Carl

I was looking at a thread about 2 - 3 days ago - some guy in Canada is getting carbon fiber hoods done in agroup for $6 - 800.

did you try www.vintageparts.org for the front braces?

You can get fiberglass hoods, doors, trunk lids and bumpers.

did you get the aluminum rear bumper? aluminum brake drums?

jsta6

I have the aluminum drums (forgot to list them)

that place vintage parts is the place I got the one bracket at, however someone bought all 19 of the others including 19 of the ones that I was able to get
does this place carry the fiberglass parts and if so whats the PN's?

whats the aluminum rear bumper?
is it actually the bumper or under the bumper?
if its the outside I dont think I want it cause I want to keep the GN still all black

thanks for your help guys

Carl

I can't believe some anus bought up all those brackets after I told them not to!

Anyway, I still have the pair that I bought. You can have them for what I paid for them. However, I only want to sell them in pairs.

The rear aluminum peice is the reinforcment that goes underneath the bumper shell/skin. You can find them at junk yards for $10-$20 or you can buy some off this board.

Search the board for "fiberglass". I know of one place in California, and one place in Sebring, Florida. Don't have the names off hand.

do you happen to have the # for the bumper aluminum reinforcement?

sorry I actually found the other side I needed and for everyones conveince I found some places that carry these brackets however I dont know their names so just ask for the parts department

Nice list of phone numbers.

Looks like you have a friend in the GM parts department...;)

Sorry, I do not have a part number for the bumper.

Go around the car and cut off all the ends of all the bolts just past the nut with a sawzall.

lol.

Actually, before I got my aluminum reinforcements, I cut the middle and ends off of my front bumper support...
