Installed my Sphon lowers and UB Machine uppers this weekend...Heres the weight diff for those interested.

Spohn LCA's 14.5 lbs each (steel tubing, they offer em in chrome moly for $100 more)
UB Machine UCA's 4.5 lbs each
stock LCA 13.5 lbs each:eek:
stock upper 8.5 lbs each

I bought em for the looks and what I thought was gonna be a small weight savings.Oh well, they look bad ass

yea i measured the same weight loss on the UB uppers when i used em last year. Doesnt look like ill be getting any tubular lowers if they weigh more than the stockers, that is unless i can have them custom made to relocate the spidle out a little. Thanks for the results

Hi Guys,

That's why I "splurged" and went ahead with the chrome-moly option. As soon as I receive them I'll post the weight. I already have the QA-1 coil-overs in the front so that's also the option I went with as well as their Delrin bushing option too. They are also in the process of making chrome-moly uppers for me also for my stock spindles.;)

You added quite a few lb's with the coil overs alrerady, youll be lucky to get back to the factory weight w/ chrome moly arms but I dont see it.

Spohn just builds em heavy duty.Ill bet the UB uppers weigh less than the cm version from Spohn.

They sure look cool though :D
