Ok, ive had this happen to me a couple times already with my 85 GN. I will go to start it an hear a "pop" from under the hood (sounds like a sbc backfiring throught a carb) while turning the motor over. Then when i get it started it idles really rough. Once i drive it for awhile the rough idling seems to settle down. Any idea's on this? Im stumped so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

popping back through the mas air flow sensor which is making it all goofy and then it catches up with the rest of the program. see if you are dumping to much gas and check the cam sensor timing.

there is a place called caspers electronics in mundelien il. that has all of the electrical parts for these turbo buicks. the number is 847-247-0484 john spenia is the owner call him on monday. ask for a cam senaor timing tool. it is simple all you do is unplug the sensor and plug the tool in and turn the cam sensor like a distributor until the light just turns on then tighten the bolt and your done.
