I have had my National a long time now. I always noticed this sticker on the inside of my trunk lid. It never bothered me so I left it. I went to a car show and another turbo Buick guy asked me about this sticker. I have no answer. I have no clue. The guy I bought my car from a billion years ago died or at least I think he's dead. If anybody knows what it means I would appreciate it.
Thanks

The bottom number is for an 1987 Buick Regal-GN outer panel extension kit. Do a search on 20499470.

The part is the corner piece right above the taillight. Search using gm plus part number on Bing.

I did a number search on it and it came back that's it's really MY car! So I want it back ASAP. Be careful driving over here, please. Space in my garage is all cleaned out. Thanks for finding it.:p

Thanks Brad. I think I'm getting it now. The outer panel extension kit is the corner trunk wing piece correct?

As a former dealership employee, the first number "12.940" looks like a group number in a parts catalog, probably where the spoiler is found inside of it.

The second number, don't know why he wrote it down and stuck it on the trunk lid, but Brad is right, that's the part number for the outer extension for the GN spoiler.

Maybe something happened to the fender extension along the assembly line and an employee just put a note inside the trunk cover so they don't forget to address whatever issue there was… I'm saying this because it's not a printed label but something that was written by hand and put there with a piece of clear tape as a reminder of something.

Claude.
