This sucks. Sorry to hear this man. If anyone know anywhere else I can get door jamb stickers and a RPO sticker please PM me.. I really wish I didn't sand my old stuff now, I figured they would be no problem to replace from s10

This is the type of sh*t that makes people who were loyal to US carmakers go buy foreign.

Their was a time that I would disagree with this statement, but I think times are changing and you are correct:rolleyes:

i looked over the site and i beleive to have a replacement sticker made you need to have a photo of your old one.there for most of us will be back to sqaure one(no original sticker).so whats next.anyone tryed to contact them?anymore leads would be great.

You could probably get a little community help if you asked for it.

Today's email says I have to remove the wallpaper from my OLDSMOBILE section of my site. Now that's ironic, a company that doesn't even exist any more.

I noticed a few posts about the applications being too long and asking for too much info. Maybe that's because it focuses on old or past business.

If one were to start an entirely NEW business with the purpose and intent to specifically reproduce and sell items requiring a license, would not the application be quite short? There would be no previous year info at all. Anyone can "project" anticipated earnings but that's never in stone... Besides there's no legal limitation on how many businesses one owns and operates...

I think a NEW business with a limited production and earnings projections (as this is a farily limited bunch of enthusiasts due to limited production numbers) should be able to secure the necessary licensing from GM at a reasonable rate...

Just some thoughts...

gbodyparts redirects to gmpartsdirect - WHAT?????

How did Auto Shack rip off Radio Shack - who confused those?

This is getting ridiculous. I understand protecting your brand but at what cost?

GM has nothing to do with the redirect on GBodyParts.com. That's all I will say for now.

russ, if your keeping up with this thread, i really really wish you or somebody would maybe help you look into the legality of keeping this decal thing going. i know you wherent getting rich or anything with no more than you where charging, but if you stepped up your prices abit, would it? i just looked for the fuel pump sticker on kirbans and can't find it. strange he hasn't commented on this, as he usually does from what i've seen here and there.

i had a pretty big order ready to go, between me and a couple others local:mad:. russ has done several custom stuff for me. stuff that i know gd well that some gm licensed distributing company would never bother with. (ex: the decals for the 84/85 mc and hb pump)

i've only skimmed through this thread... but what about guys that sell stuff like this Buick Grand National T-Type GNX Regal Seat Side Decal: eBay Motors (item 290443123277 end time Jun-14-10 20:12:25 PDT)

they gonna get the knock knock also?

again, i could be misinformed (as usual, lol!) but any buick vendor that has gotten rich off of making repro or custom stuff for our small community, can speak up and set me straight. but this is just bs for somebody like russ that was probably only bothering out of the goodness of his heart and the desire to help keep some nice cars from gm's history preserved. again, if it was anybody from here that went crying about it, you need to get a life

Of course, buick vendors are rich, check out my place! I got into to this to help pay for my hobby basically, just took it up a notch to where it helps pay the bills around the house. No one is getting rich in this market. Vendor you mentioned on ebay is supposedly licensed and just got back into this. Few items similar to what I was doing.
