so 15.5 is decent for a worn out old hot air right

but then i was a sleep too 1.135 rt

its the first run

whats the avg for the hot air lets here some!!

yeah that's darn good for it's age and just a chip and t-stat, heck it's better than the magazines listed them to run stock when brand new, which was 15.7.

I did a 10.5 in the 1/8th with 205k milrs on motor, motor all orig except afr, adj wastegate, and rebiult stock turbo about 100k ago, hooker cat back, cracked stock headers, 14 inch k&n, walbro 340, and boost at 10 and retarding like hell. best time slip reads:
r/t .176
60' 2.63
330' 7.001
1/8 10.539
mph 68.46

according to my buddy i had no spin on my one legger set at 28psi.Man we need to have some vendor specials so i can afford to mod again.

stock times

Stock and original (original Goodyear Eagle GT's, original
exhaust etc) at the nats this year 15.45@87 77 degrees
with a 2.26 60' time. My MPH varies with the air quality
from 86-89MPH so an a good air day with a better 60'
time I can see it close to 14.99.

What were the other numbers in your run (60', temp etc.)

bye, Ed
http://edchapman.tripod.com/cars.html -- 87 T 14.1@97 stock, -- 03 GSX stock --
84 T-Type WH1 15.4@89 stock - runner up B-5 GS nats 2004 -- 87 GN stock 399/400 points :D

My best in my '84 T was a 15 flat at 91. I do have a Casper's chip, 237 regulator and an 8" K&N on a cold air kit. We are at 3900ft here.

Mine ran a 14.70 with some poston headers, 3 in exhaust ATR DP, FPR, and 87 computer with electric fan,a crappy stock turbo that was smoking.

Ive made a few 1/8 passes in my 85 GN. Its stock except for RJC boost controller and a K&N stuck onto the end of the MAF. Best was a 9.8 @ 69mph. But mines only got just over 72000 original miles. Hooker exhaust and alky kit are in the near future.

How much boost were you running?

about 17 lbs i was pinging at 20 (i needed more octane)

i aslo try to set the boost control at 16-17 at wot
but couldnt get it 12 lbs or overboosted

so i feather the gas to keep it 17 lbs or so

any one use the boost control from -ebay or

just the adjustment on the wastgate?

here are the times on the ticket someone wanted to know

reaction 1.194
I1 2.532
I2 6.694
I3 10.085
mph (I3) 144.351
I4 12.964

e.t. 15.591
mph 87.092

I used the adjustable wastegate. I was able to run 20# of boost, with the right octane, and get a 14.4 out of a relatively stock car.

that sound ideal for a hot air

so adustable wastgate ,factory y hose and factory solenoid ?

what did u use to launch/stage boost or rpm ?

thanks !!

Mine ran a best of 14.3 @ 98 mph. With stock everything except adj. fpr, kenne bell chip,110 oct. on top of some 94 oct.,and 17 psi boost! Now that its modded a little more, plus porting my intake some, hope to see a 13.99 or better!I get my engine back from Weber Racing today!!!!!!!!Been down since 4/28/5 My damn oil pick up tube came loose from the block and lost oil pressure and blew her up.I plan to safety wire the bolts, can't afford to be rebuilding all the time over stupid sheite!

14.08 @ 98 for mine completely stock but rebuilt motor...wrong headgaskets, though...Jay Carter low timing street chip, about 20# boost, 92 octane with race gas thrown in for good measure...2.0 60 ft. time on street BFG Rad TA's

FJM568, how much boost did you leave the line with to get a 2.0 sixty foot on street tires? What size tires are they?

About 3-5# of boost on the footbrake...stock size 215/65-15 BFG Rad TA's...
