Yes, it's stormy but not THAT stormy..... Speedworld is having a "Dark Side" night race tonight.

I'm prepped and ready to go......... Please Rain, hold off just long enough to let us get a few passes in.... Please.....

If not, I gotta wait 'till October, and that just aint right.........:(:D:eek:

Everybody cross your fingers, please!

77 in Pheonix in July?!? That's like half normal!

/fingers crossed, send that rain to the rest of the US

So are you all going to the track tonight? We are still in Phoenix this evening. Let me know, we may try to come watch.

Hooking up the trailer now.......

Expect to be there by 8:15

Well kids,

The track wasn't worth a dang, it kept trying to rain on us and my buddy fried the clutch in his 64 Corvette, but it was still a blast!

I only made 2 passes because of the clutch thing and having to put him on the trailer, but I took my son for his first 1/4 mile ride along, blew the tires off on the line and went 11.87 @ 122.

Then I slipped and slid to a 11.01 @ 126 (the track was horrible and I just couldn't get it to hook, but about half track she started to move right along)

The guy behind me making the next pass was my buddy and when he didn't make it back to the pits, went looking and found him at the far end of the track, broken but grinning. I guess he handed the cocky guy with the new Mustang he was running his ass, so he was happy.

Coulda been better but any night at the track is good, espescially when it's only 80 degrees in Phoenix in July.
