Well, one of my local "test" tracks is too hot right now.

My old road got beat up pretty bad by semi trucks when the built a couple 1,000,000 sq foot warehouses near it. Was in the middle of NO WHERE too.

Thank you for my first wallpaper in as long as I can remember that dont have a car in it

I don't think so. In fact, I think it would increase if people could dial their cars in at the track to race them on the street.

Look at NY city and sorrounding areas in NJ. They have TWO race tracks and NJ and Jersey and NY have some of the fastest street raced cars around and has as many street races as anywhere else.

A race track will not solve anything. People street race because it is exciting. A track will not solve that issue. It sounds good in theory, build a race track and street racing will end but that's simply not true.
I know in the Cincinnati area we have 2 drag strips. There is pretty much no street racing except for a few ricers that like to do highway pulls. There are a ton of fast street cars here...even a popular 7 second drag radial tso car lol. We have a bunch of "street car" races at the tracks. Now, if you go an hour north, street racing does occur but not like it used to because it's kind of a run down town with rough roads and the penalties for getting caught are pretty rough....not to imagine if someone gets hurt or killed. Around here you will get 20+ for vehicular manslaughter. They hand those charges out like candy on Halloween here. The news has reports of people getting charged with that for seems to me to be an honest driving error. You could only image what they do to street racers. I think the movie cannonball run said it the best..."there is no death penalty for speeding...except if you are in Ohio" or something like that lol

That didn't happen to be a sleek black car with a weird whistling sound that hit 120mph getting away.:D

Wasn't me, though I was doing close to that speed the other day.:D That connector is about 10 minutes from me. Some real nice stretches to open it up.

Great place to race would be in the West Rock tunnel. Done a few speed runs in there. Exit 13 off I-91 is a great place too.

Hey, don't forget the 100 ft drags at Waterford Speed Bowl.:rolleyes: I went to that as a spectator ONCE this year and boy, that was as exciting as watching grass grow or paint dry.
