Last night was the last time my car will see daylight until spring because we got hit hard today with some freezing rain changing over to all snow...we got hit with about 6 inches and the roads are all ice...saw 5 cars off the road on my way home tonight and saw one car down by my house who road a frickin median guard rail and the car was still on it's side on the rail when I went past it! does not look pretty outside...so how's the snow affecting anyone else? you guys out east are in for a real treat tonight...

Happy Thanksgiving BTW:)

6 inches of snow last night, made for fun at 6:30 this morning!

i wake up to
bmmmm baaaahhh
bmmmm baaaahhh
bmmmm baaaahhh

im thinking, cool it snowed last night and im going to open the shades and check out whats stuck in the middle of the road right outside my house-

i see my FN regal sideways headlights on and someone trying to drive off in it

now remember, i just woke up not even 30 seconds prior, and its still sorta dark outside....

i blink a few times, turns out to another 87 REGAL from down the street stuck in the middle of the road, BUT its aimed right for my car!!!!!

i throw on sweat pants and shirt and head out there to double check to make sure they didnt hit my car with theirs-
my car was fine, but i had to fire up my 4X4 to get them on their way, glad to see my car didnt get nailed!

:p :D

you mean to tell me that you live in florida and don't know what snow is  , snow is that white stuff you someties powder your nose with it's good for stuffy noses too:D , the only draw back is it makes you kind a paranoid, you know that ? how much do you know ? who sent you? are you with them? :D

I want more snow. My wife and kids went skiing yesterday and there is more dirt than snow at Breckenridge.

I'll take some snow too

good excuse to ride all over town on my 4 wheeler

or go out and play in the 4 wheel drive

Sounds like you're talking about blow, not snow;) I know about blow.... It funds some of the fastest race cars in south Florida!

Mark, hurricanes suck but I'll take them over that cold white stuff any day of the week and twice on sunday! We had a bad hurricane season this year, but we were way over due down here because we didn't have any real bad hurricanes since '92 when Andrew came through... Also, where I live (Broward County/Fort Lauderdale area) the 4 hurricanes didn't do any real major damage other than some broken/down trees and leaking roofs from all the rain...

Yeah, but at least we don't have to worry about our houses blowing away with a snow storm.:) Not that we never get hurricanes up here, has been quite a while since we had a bad one.

BTW, my parents are in FT Lauderdale, in laws are in the Tampa area and my sister is in Boynton Beach so we were worried all hurricane season about them. Luckily they all escaped any damage.

I hate humidity so I could never make it down there! Besides, the lousy winter up here helps keep the mileage down on the GN.:D

I gots 3 words for y'all....

All
Wheel
Drive!

:D

I havent been able to break traction with my van for awhile now, cant wait till we get hit with some heavy stuff. I love the snow, I just hate when it gets below about 20 outside. I can handle low to mid 20's, but below that, it really starts to get on my nerves!

I just want to be moved outta this dump and into my other slightly less crappy dump before it happens. Dragging furniture through the white stuff isnt much fun!

This is my favorite time of the year, while most people are putting their cars away for winter we are busting ours out. High 30's at night 60's during the day. But then again it switches during the summer:mad:
Happy turkey day

Well I would drive my car all year round if it wasn't for the SALT they lay on the roads...it's not the snow that hurts the car...salt is killer on G-bodies:(

Uh, yeah it is, just a little......

Anyone who doesnt believe that can have a look at just why my car is in hibernation.
If you care about keeping your car, dont drive it in the salt.
Even my van is starting to rust in spots, and it was a southern van until I got it 2 years ago. (yes it is undercoated)

Think snow!!!

Get a snowmobile and help ease the pain of putting the Buick
away for winter...
My sled has been waiting patiently all summer for the cold and
snow to arrive!
I love the smell of two stroke in the morning:p
bum budda bum bum bum dig dig dig dig dig....

GRAB A HANDFUL!!! and hold on....

hey...quick side track...what is with your fellow "indiana...umm...in's"???

I was in the left lane of 94 heading back home to good old west michigan after hitting the crap in Chicago and EVERY STINKIN' TIME a car wouldn't move out of the way into the right lane....guess what plate was on their car???????????

Not a road rage kind of guy, but I did find it annoying that the pattern played out about 90% of the time...so I guess that isn't "every" time. Anyway, 94 all the way to 196 was total crap. I counted (for fun) 48 cars in the ditch between Michigan city and 94/196 interchange.

oh yeah...and go Lions...lol

Got lucky and got the car out of the trailer and in the shop while it was still in the 50's. The driveway is pure ice and it never does stop amazing me how in a couple of hours it can go from fall to winter. The air even smells like winter.

Yes, I have the sled fired up and pointed at the garage door waiting for upper MI to get heavy snow.

I just got my new MAF and Trans so I have to take the GN out one more time. I didn't see any salt on the roads here so I have my fingers crossed.

My sled is still hanging on the wall in the garaage but I look forward to getting it and the harnesses out very soon :-)
