Welsh Technologies Propane kit

I have a barely used Welsh Technologies Miser MFS for sale. The kit has the BBQ tank adapter and about 15ft or so of copper fuel line included. I just bought a Saab 92-X Aero and anything I do to that car will void the warranty.

Check out http://www.welshtec.com for all the details on the unit. From personal experience and reviews from others it works great on most vehicles, but not on supercharged W bodies and 97 + F Series. I believe Killrv6 runs one on a Sentra and a Suburban with good results.

Cost new for just the base kit is $275. I'll take $250 shipped to the lower 48.

The Sentra got 48.87 MPG this week on the Welsh kit (A/C off). I would buy it and stick it on the GN but the $ is going to machine work right now. This kit will also raise your octane from 93 to around 97.

The kit basically pumps propane into the air intake stream to mix with the fuel and create a more efficient burn. Unlike the kits used to build more power, it injects small amounts of propane and does it the whole time the engine is running. A 5 gallon BBQ tank should last about 2 tanks of gas. Setup correctly the unit will give you about 10mpg or maybe more on the freeway. The install is relatively easy. You need to run a 1/8 inch copper line from the tank to the unit under the hood. The unit is a box about the size of a GN coilpack. There are 4 wires on the unit. One goes to IGN + on, another goes to a positive source that is only on when the engine is running, a thirs is ground, and a fourth will either go to ground or a throttle switch to turn the unit off at idle (used for diesels). Then you run a 3/8" vaccum line from the unit to a vaccum port just after the throttle body. Or, if you have a carburated car you would connect it to the port on the baseplate.
