i've been to Rushmore twice in my life, and was totally underwhelmed by the whole thing. well, it was kind of cool looking up on the road up to it and looking up Lincoln's nose as we drove right under it.
maybe the overpriced Chinese made souvenirs in the gift shop wrecked it for me..
i want to check out Crazy Horse someday, tho.

Been there done that! Pretty cool. I was more interested in how it was built. The Crazy Horse deal, don't think that will ever be finished.

I think the same about Crazy Horse, not in my lifetime anyway, They wont accept any Govt. funding for it. (do ya blame em?) The film about it shows where all 4 faces of Rushmore could fit in the Crazy Horse's head area. Thats how much bigger it is. Suppose to be taller than the pyramids in Egypt.

That crazy horse is just crazy. Always wanted to make that trip.

Took our sons 2 years ago, I sure hope you didnt come through Kansas and not tell me:mad: :D

Ty

Had the wonderful pleasure (he said sarcastically) of driving your state from end to end and would have stopped in to see you but you probably weren't born yet when I did it! 1976

Your state troopers were very friendly when they saw a bright yellow fastback Mustang Mach 1 with California plates doing 95.:) TWICE within 10 miles.

I remember you telling me that one before lol:biggrin:

Not much here, no illegals, no problems, no crime:cool:

And lots of corn on both sides of the road as far as you can see! And don't forget tornados. Those things scare the crap out of me.
