This one is from my rural redneck restification rod shop courtesy of the original owner of an 85 Regal I just bought cheap. Maybe for parts or maybe to drive if I have some luck. He just wanted to get it out of his garage.

He parked it In 2004. He had decided to fix it after his daughter severely overheated it back then (a sub plot). Now its mine, it leaks and it doesn't run. It has nice interior in case I want to live in my car someday, but I plan to try to start it first. Anyway I am cleaning it up - There was about $3+ in curroded change, some fast food reciepts, a Chilton manual, and some F'd up emblems from his venture into body work. This guy could have been ME!!! except he gave up - I haven't yet. I am getting a lot of help because of my incompetence.

Back to cleaning. I found this little square on the floor behind the driver. I think I have figured it out but I am a little slow. First two are the front and the 3rd is the back. Whats it made of and .. Whad izit?

Whatever it is, looks like it didn't agree with the dogs stomach!! Yikes!

door strap escutcheons?

Yep, too easy maybe? Escutcheon screw cover is correct technically I guess.

So for the grand prize, Ta Da! "What are they made of" The original material is only partially currroded by the contents of doggy digestion.

I was gonna guess a roach or ant bait (trap). Ya'll sure that's a car part? :D

It was a "What the hell is this?" thought as the shop vac sucked up rusty paper clips, salty giant corn and 'Jelly Belly's' from the carpet. A car part? Maybe? Jeez it fits on the door strap and was hand painted black around the edge to look like the N/A screw covers. It was made out of galvanized sheet metal like HVAC ducts. Just some creative homemade fabrication. It was almost close to looking right. Just barely almost! Every now and then you see something funny you never seen before and probably won't again. Bob
