Hey guys, i know this isnt the right forum, but i like fast responses. We are going to the track again, and yes, we know we need a scanmaster, real tires, and stock gears as opposed to the 3.90's, but until we get "real" tires, we'll be running the bfg radial ta's. My question is, what air pressure should we run them at to get atleast a decent 60 foot time? I had always heard that you should run them at 32 psi, and it never made sense to me, and now i read somewhere that they should be aired down to 16psi.

Thanks

Josh

No matter what Air pressure you run them they aren't going to hook so run 20-24 psi. It will provide a good compromise between traction and top end drag.

I've run regular radials for several years, and with practice they can hook just fine. I like around 15 or 16psi in mine. Lower pressure seems to absorb the power better so you dont spin as hard. With the TE44 and a trans brake I would launch about 4 psi and maintain part throttle through first gear then WOT in second. I've had 1.83 60ft times on BFG Radial TA's.

Yep.

I drive EFD with 20lbs in my 255's just to keep the treadwear even. At the track, they are 2.0 consistent.
