What are my choices in terms of garage flooring???

I have a recently build 2 car garage. Everything is coming along nicely with power outlets for everything, remote door, shelving...my mind is set on the black and white checkered pattern as seen on Horsepower TV on TNN. IS that tile or something else. Wouldn't tile break or crack if you use jackstands and such. Any thoughts?

GForce, I have worked on many different flooring products in my life, and my favorite is still good old concrete sealed with epoxy paint to seal and color .It looks great, is tough, and cleans up nicely. Tile doesn't like falling hand tools, vinyl doesn't last, and carpet is a sponge for fluids...........Mark

Never heard of epoxy paint. Is that something I can get at Home Depot? Does it come in different colors? Thanks.

Thanks for all the Info fellas. After viewing and reading I have decided that the checkered board pattern will be too expensive. FOr my bodget, I will opt for the epoxy paint from Home Depot. I am going this evening to home depot to price it. Great help, Thanks.
