What are the symptons of a bad pressure switch?

And I thought I read a post earlier with a list of Tranny experts here. Anyhow, I need to change the TCC solenoid. So should I change the pressure switch while I'm there?

Not an expert anything. In my experieance pressure switchs are pretty tough little units, personally i have never seen 1 fail.

Now if others will chine in.

typically if they fail you wont get that gear signal

if you use direct scan look for 3rd / 4th gear signal

they can and do fail from time to time and will blow fluid strait thru then and cause flair on 3rd gear shift

been there done that
