Pat's Converter

I run a Pat's 3500 l/u converter. You can see my mod's in my signature. I thought 3500 may be too much for a mostly street driven car but it drives great. I could have gone a little higher and still been happy. I went from a stock converter and stock turbo, to a 2800/3000 stall with a TE44 and then to 3500 with a TE67. There are a lot of good converters out there. Good hunting! Talk to Steve at Pat's Converters. Great guy. I think the top of the line is an Art Carr at California Performance Transmissions.

Thanks Guys It's My Old Girl She's Been Put Away Since 1997 It's Pretty Old School Te62-e Turbo, ruggles Cam,<oldstuff /new Stuff 3 Inch Torque Technologies Exhaust With Magnaflow Mufflers , Thdp, Stock Intake,heads,50lb Msd's New Single Walbro Pump Hot Wire Kit/ Head Work And Alky Kit Soon Oh By The Way It's One Of The Last Gm Shortblocks That Was Available Back In The Day ,i Used To Work At A Gm Dealer The Block Has About 200 Miles On It I Do Start The Car And Drive It Sometimes,i'm Just Trying To Get Back In The Loop It's Not Going To Be A Racecar, just Something To Play With On Weekends Thanks, mark

A 9.5" 2800-3000 would be plenty for that cam/turbo. Im partial to the Art Carr non lock-ups myself. Excellent 60's, very efficient for a non locker, and very forgiving on the internals of the trans.

Best looking one........the purple one! Precision 5 disc lock up is hard to beat. If you dont plan to LU under WOT then the Precision single disc would be ok. If your getting into the 10's take a look at the CPT Art Carr non lock as previously suggested. 3 great convertors suited for all different driving needs.:)

No WOT 3-4 shifts with the vig 5 disc locked or you will crack the 4th carrier or break the input unless you have a billet input and carrier.

I've had a Precision single disc Vigalante LU convertor for 4 years with no problems. My car is a 99% street car and it's a great convertor in my opinion. Paul

This is exactly the type of performance I'd look for in a converter, my car will be 99.8% street/daily driven and hopefully low to constant mid 11's performance.

Looking for about 2800-3200 stall, LU unit.

Melissa has Bruce's (PTS) 9/11 converter in her street GN .. she has raced the hell out of this car along with 9000 miles since sept. low 10 sec street car that we drive every day !! Converter works great !!! 132 mph in street trim along with Julio's "Alky"  I have used a non LU Art Carr and a Precision 7,5,3,1 disc converters in customer's cars .. Carrs was a pain to me in a street car that you DRIVE on the street a lot .. Street manners of the 9/11 has it all over others as far as we are concerned
