Brand new our cars were about $17,054 MSRP (Yea I got a book). Special options upped the price like t-tops and floor shifters i believe.

I have a hard time believeing that number. I have a copy of an '82 Turbo GN window sticker:

1982 Regal Sport Coupe $9.738.06
T2E 'Grand National' package $3278.00 (This is the special stuff the Cars & Concepts did)
CC1 Hatch Roof (T Tops) $790.00
C60 Air Conditioning $675
UM6 ETR Radio Cassette $555.00
D55 Full Console $100.00
That plus all the other options pushed the price to $16,578.06


I'd figure my plain '83 T Type came in at about 11 grand.

really?? I have a Buick Gnx/Ttype/Gn Book that came with a floppy disk that said about 17 Grand. Ill get the publisher of the book tomorrow. Was 11G's alot in the early 80's for this car?

The book with the disk was likely written by the late Steven Dove. Unfortuantely, they are not the most accurate sources of information.
