What do I with the alky?????

Just got a TT race chip. I am somewhat new to buicks with alky. When i put the new TT race chip in do I just turn off the alky or is there more that I need to do.?? Do I need to take the alky system off the car etc?? And How tall of a slick should I run have 3.42 in it.

If you have alky on the car get a alky chip not a race chip.

Lots of guys are running 26" OD tires with the stock 342 rear end.

I have the alky chip in it already in it went 11.63 and 11.60 at 24lbs. Wanted to see if I could pick up some time with a race chip. Some say I will go faster with the race chip which brings me back to my original question. What do I do with the alky??? Do I turn it off to run the race chip or is there more to be done?????

You need to tune what you've got IMHO...

Do you have a scantool?

What timing did you run in the chip for your runs?

What mods are done to your car?

Your TT chip is adjustable... timing and fuel....

Your question about your TT chip should really be posted on Erics(Turbo Tweak )forum...Im sure he could give you more detailed answers in reference to your chip.

As far as your alky question your in the right place.

My 2 cents on this subject...I switched from 110 race gas to alky last year and Eric told me to use the same chip. The timing was pretty close and the chip, being adjustable and all, lefta ALOT of room for tweaking(No pun intended:biggrin: )

And you dont ever need to turn your alky off. You can use it with race gas just as well...but why would u want to? 93 pump gas and alky will get your car down the track just as fast and save u $$ and o2 sensors. With this tune your set for high boost "kill mode" all the time.

Drive to the track...let air out of tires...run 11's....air up tires....drive home!

Dont turn it off tune with the race gas and race chip.

Race chips open the injectors up... Alky chips expect fuel coming in from another source. If you have an alky chip and replace it with a race chip, you turn the alky off.. put in C16.. and relearn to tune your combination.

Easiest thing to do is leave the alky chip in the car, crank its timing through the roof.. and work on tuning that adding race gas into your fuel tank.

But thats just me :redface:
