trying to clean up the crap left behind on my hood from the hood emblems that fell off. Tried using some solvent but it doesn't work. Any ideas?

I use a rubber eraser wheel on a drill to remove most and then use enamel reducer for the rest. Since its laquer you need to use the drill at a lower speed do it does not melt the paint

Goto a auto body supply store and buy a spray can of 3M adhesive remover. Spray it on, let it soak for a couple of minutes, and wipe it off. Stuff works great and works for me every time and doesn't damage paint.

Im gonna give this a shot. Local parts store has it. thanks

Had my buddy come by and help me out. Took him about ten minutes. He told me it was a shame the clear coat is peeling because the paint is in great shape. Just my luck. Here's the after.

Did the adhesive remover work?
Didn't even have the chance to. Went to thre auto parts stores. All sold out. Guess it was meant to be. He Used some laqaur thinner on s towel it came right off. He then buffed it with some 1500 grit compound. Looks dirty in the pic ! cleaned up the crap left behind after. Looks really good. Besides the shit clear that's non existent. It's amazing what some compound and a wheel can do I had a scratch down the whole side of drivers side he made it disappear in five minutes.

Paints solid everywhere beside hood, roof, and trunk lid

Well using lacquer thinner probably didn't help the paint situation on the hood  lol

Rest of the paint looks nice

Yeah he said it won't do anything long as it doesn't sit. Been detailing for 20 years and has a pretty high end customers. Details 100k cars weekly. I trust him on my hunk of junk haha. It's ashame my car had " paint protection" from the dealer all its life. Few years of sunlight and goes to shit, along with my visors and all the seat covers, car has t tops. She will look good doing about 100. Haha

I use goof off on stuff like that a little more work but leaves the clear alone
yeah clear coat is gone on the hood, so I didn't have hst to worry about. Thinking about getting them repainted. I dunno. Kinda like the raggey look. For now
