Things that gotta go...
In regards to the OCC/WCC/Harley craze... I think a lot of it comes down to the individual. My buddy is a huge fan of American Chopper, and has never been on a bike, and has many shirts and a hat from the show. Now, these items were not bought at Wal Mart, in fact he paid top dollar at the "T-shirt" store for the "official" merchandise. He has no misconceptions of who he is, or what the show represents. And there is nothing OCC related stuck to his 2003 Grand Am. LOL. Some of us are just fans. Sr. & Jr. remind me of my relationship with my Dad. That reminds me... I need to go pick up a "Mikey Rules" t-shirt from the mall.
However, it is pathetic that you can get this stuff at the local grocery store...
Moving on...
The crooked hats kill me. Especially if they are trucker hats.
As do wifebeaters on the 16 yearold coat racks at the gym.
The Von Dutch stuff needs to go too... I wrote a paper in University commenting on this mass assimilation of cultures by capitialist America. It irks me when a 14 yearold girl is wearing her trendy car-culture hat and hand bag, yet has no clue of its origins or significance to history.
All white shoes... when people get shot over stepping on a set of overpriced sneakers there is a problem.
Modern "athletic" shoes, when did we need moon boots on Earth? And with springs and shocks and lights and pumps no less? I hate that I can't find a regular pair of cross-trainers that aren't 90% tupperware.
I got a lot more... but, this is a good start.
