Leave it alone...Stock gears work incredibly well.

3.42 will work ? what kind of finish line rpm can i expect.

Before you decide to run it at the track I suggest you do some reading and get a Scanmaster/PowerLogger to see what the engine tells you. These things will blow a head gasket quick!!
Many of the 9 second cars still run stock gears. Mine are stock as well.

That will depend on the converter. I have gone thru the traps at 6100rpm with a PCT 10" and with a better matched 9.5" PTC converter I was down to around 5500rpm. The stock gears are awesome.
