What happened to the battery thread?

Seriously, why did that thread need deleted. I got the notification that pistonslap said something again, but then the post was deleted.

I don't know / care what he said, but there was no need to delete the whole thread. Why not just his post?

I'm just a lurker here for the most part, and I don't really like to get involved in all the arguments that go on. I couldn't care less about the whole 48 hrs thing, etc.

What I do care about is a good thread getting deleted over one guy bad mouthing the owner.

Bruce. It's your place, we're guests, and we should do by your rules, but what this place is boiling down to is kicking out the whole party because one person puked in the pool.

It was a year old.
It was hijacked by off topic drama, not really discussing the subject the rest of us were interested in. A poll is better suited anyway.

Nothing to apoligize for Shane, it was a good question IMHO. The way things have been going it was a safe bet that the Mods had axed it.

Contrary to your comment, most threads are deleted by the originator, not the mods.

Thanks Bill for letting the board know that you deleted your thread. Many times members delete there own post and dont say anything , and the rest of the board blames the Mods or admins for doing it.

Nothing to apoligize for Shane, it was a good question IMHO. The way things have been going it was a safe bet that the Mods had axed it.

I do think his question was a good and well put question that would have deserved a answer from the person whom deleted it, But he did in fact blamed the wrong people so a apology was the right thing to do , Thanks Shane.

Was great to have someone step up and correct a very common misconception. Many of the questions asked with good intentions are hi jacked by the flamers looking for a way to start trouble. The originators often do the deletions because it is a pain to see a good question they started turn into a source for the 15 or so roving malcontents to start a fight. Thanks GN for the comment. And Shane, your's was a good question and you got a stand up answer. Thanks Mark
