Vietnam was worthless as is Iraq and if given the chance I'd dodge both

Nothing wrong with serving your country, what is wrong is serving the Political interests that have no benefit to the very people your supposed to be defending. Knowingly agreeing and paying the price with your life to such reckless abuse of power seems like more part of the problem than part of the solution.

War has been around since the dawn of man, it is part to the natural balance of things. Right, wrong or indifferent it is how it is. My 20yr. son has been in the NAVY for just over a year, so I don't want to hear someone whine about your views when you have no skin in the game.

BTW,it's pretty ironic, Prime, that you chimed in on this thread titled "When stupid people breed" My son has very intelligent parents and inherited our genes in that aspect. He's a nuke......intelligent men in the military usually don't get shot at much. Life's hard, it's harder when you're stupid.....and when you shoot off your mouth, you remove all doubt as to your intelligence level, or lack there of.

I wish what you said above was true, unfortunately for myself working in an intelligence background returning unscathed from combat was not to be.... well one tour anyway.... but I'm ok, 19 years and still going like the energizer bunny....
