What if... band anchor pin? please help

On reasssembly I notice that the 300M anchor pin is not square in the bore (stock one same way) which causes the pin to extend beyond the valve body surface only on one side. Its like on a slight angle if you can picture it.
Does this cause a problem? I can push it in slightly against the band to cause it to go below surface but in free state it is above.
Is there something that pushes this pin down or hold it below the valve body surface?
I hope this makes sense in what I am trying to get an answer on. Thanks

the plate will hold it just fine as long as you can push it below by hand. no worrie's

Anchor pin

Mine did the same thing, I was worried the bore was bad at first myself. When you bolt the VB up the plate should push it up in there. I've had no probs so far with that.
