Had a header gasket blow out at track a few years ago. Went to tighten them today and found a screw almost backed out far enough to fall out  What is best way to keep them in? Stage 8 locking screws? Copper Anti Seize for high heat areas? Different formulations of lock tite- red, blue, green? Thanks!

No lock tite neded, use antiseize. The way to get Loctite to give up a fastner is to heat it, that goes against anything with the exhaust.

IME it takes about 3-4 retorques and the headers are good to go. Just be proactive and check them frequently and you we see that after the 2 ndt retorque maybe 1 or 2 will be the only ones that are moving a little

I use teh bolts that comes with the TA haeaders with good results

The bolt in the back by #6 was the loose one. Thanks for your reply.

They all seemed pretty tight but I went ahead and ordered a set of Stage 8 locking header bolts.I'll just use one in place of the bolt that was loose. They only require 20 foot lbs.

I've used Stage 8 locking screws for years on both Vettes and Grand National headers. I use them on Vettes intake manifold....never had a one back out. A real nice solution for header/intake bolts.
