 I have a t/c that is light blue in color and has the #5 all around it in between the vanes. Any help????????

Thanks

It could be from Precision of New Hampton, IA. I have one from them I have been waiting to install. Does it have a little square white sticker on it? Should have a number on the sticker with a date code. Their website is Precision of New Hampton, Inc. . Without pics or other info, I can't confirm it.

I think my old one had 5's all around it, and it was a Neal Chance converter.

The number 5 stamp designates the impeller used inside. There's other factors that determine stall speed so if there's no stickers or markings, the only way to know what you have for stall is stick it in a car, or send it in to be refreshed. I would bet it's from Precision of New Hampton, but others may use blue paint also. If it's a stock diameter, then it could in theory be anywhere from 1000 to 2800 stall speed.

How did you come to own this converter?

I recently purchased a spare gn tranny and this t/c came with the deal, as both were removed when I arrived at this guys house.
