I am going to replace the carpet in my GN. I want a good quality carpet. The carpet in it has been replaced before, but its got a few spots where it seems like it has some "slack" in it, or kind of a bunched up feel. I just figure it was a cheaply made carpet. I was just going to purchase the carpet kirban sells for $169. I noticed there are some on ebay a lot cheaper, but most are the 2 piece design, which I don't want. I want a excellent quality premolded 1 piece carpet that resembles the original. Anybody have any experience with or suggestions for me? Thanks

Carpet

dont buy any thing but acc, auto custom carpets, I believe summit sells them. They are 100% satisfactory, premolded, I have on in the elky, it would also fit the gn

I just checked summits website. It looks like they have them for $108. I'm going to call today and make sure its not the 2 piece carpet. Are you sure these are a better quality than what kirban sells? Their obviously a lot cheaper

Yup

as long as they are the same ones. They are made by auto custom carpets, they are molded one peice, with padding on the bottom identical to factory. If they are made by other than acc, I would not buy one. Good luck.

Carpet options

Just put my ACC dove gray #877 with heel pad in last week. Looks great. Ordered it with the mass backing - a $60 upgrade (180 vs. 120). The backing more closely approximates the original weight, but if weight is a concern go lighter without. I was trying to keep the feel and sound deadening about the same as original.

My guess is most of the carpets out there are are from ACC. Ask you supplier who the maufacturer is.

Just installed carpet and it looks great! A big improvement over what I had. thanks for the tip turboelky
