What is the differents between TE44 & TE52

Can anyone tell me what is the different between the TE44 and TE52?

I have a stock motor with 60# injector, adjustable fuel regulator, hotwire, stock tranny, stock converter.

Can I use a TE44 or a TE52 for my motor, also usinge stock d/p.

Can I still use the stock turbo shield?

I'm in process of ordering a Pypes Race Pro Dual Exhaust Systems

Stock turbo shield will fit both. I would suggest porting out the stock turbo elbow. The 52 has a larger compressor wheel and turbine wheel than the 44. A 44 will work OK with a stock converter. The 52 would work better with a higher stall converter.

I understand the sentence, but I don't know the procedure of doing it

You don't HAVE to port the elbow for the TE44, but if you do, it will flow better and thus better utilize the potential of the TE44.... I'll try and find the diy article detailing the elbow porting job and post it...
