I Just Got A New Drive Belt For My 87 T It The Dayco Part # is 5060640 And It Seems A Little To Long, There Is Still Some Play In It, And When I Floor It The Batt Light Comes On A Little,
So Whats The Deal Do I Need To Get A Size Smaller Or What??
Thanks For Any Help,
Seneca Lafler,

I had the same problem so I went one belt size smaller. I do think my belt tensioner is hooped though. The wheel bearing is fine but the spring sucks:mad: and it rattles.

I'm using Dayco # 640K6 and it fits fine. It is 61" long.

Hey B,

Go to Autozone & get Kelly Springfield part # 635 K6. Mine was $10.something w/tax. CHEAP! Belt is 63.5 inches - perfect fit. Ask Pebler, he was the one with the bloody knuckle ;)

P.S. I need a hand at the carwash next time you're going by......please........
