What is the part name??

Forgive my ignorance, but I need to know what something is under the hood so I can get a new one, since mine was stolen. On the air intake tube, there is a black 90 degree elbow with an electronic connector of some sort. What is this connector called and what is it for? Also if you know where I can get 1 of these elbows, that would be of much help too!
