What is the usual distance created when going from aluminum to iron drums?

Looking to set my wheels in a little more and most agree the iron drums are thinner so how much will it move the wheel back?

I'll guess at an 1/8" at most............so, not much.

I always heard 1/4"-1/2". Guess I have been getting bad info

That is an 1/8th per side for a total of 1/4".
