I tried plugging into this switch but its not getting grounded. My plug is half broken. I get a good size spark when connecting the negative up to the battery. I do not get a spark when the plug is not touching anything. Is there another way i can ground this? Or can i just tape this off?

trying to follow you but you seem lost
if the switch is not grounding then its the same as leaving it off ..right
its a temperature switch ..unless coolant is over 220 deg F it shouldn't be grounded . below that temp it should be open ... if its closed and coolant isnt 220D replace the fan control switch

if you connect that wire to ground with key on does the fan come on in HI speed? ..if it doesnt you have another issue other than the fan control switch

So the high speed fan wire connects to this switch?
What is the sensor right below it?

1. Passenger side horizontal sensor feeds the idiot light - CHECK
2. Right side vertical under throttle cable is the high speed fan switch (currently discussing) - CHECK
3. What is the 3rd one (horizontal) on the drivers side near the high speed fan switch? Another switch?

ill ask a silly question .. does it have two wires one yellow one black ...
