Ordered a WG actuator to replace my factory actuator...the factory one just didn't fit the turbo right - the holes didn't line up. The spacing of my bolts on my turbo is wider (1/2" further apart).

So, I ordered one from PTE...still doesn't line up. It's like my turbo housing is bigger around, so the bolt holes are to wide.

On the compressor housing it says:

A/R .60 M24 GARRETT

Any idea what it is and better yet, where to get a WG actuator for it?

Thanks
Scott

You don't know what turbo you have? Worse things have happened but it would be good to call the previous owner and try to find out. Then you'd be in a better position to tune the car and/or know it's limitations. As for the WG actuator fitting properly, TE and TA series turbos do have different bolt configurations on the compressor housing. TA is stock look with a detachable inlet neck; TE is molded onto the compressor housing. I ordered a PTE actuator and it had two configurations: a spot-welded-on "C" shaped bracket with a backing bracket. Both had holes for mounting. Since I use a TA style turbo, I popped the "C" bracket off and just mounted it with the backing bracket. In your case, a call to PTE might quickly figure out what you have and what you need to do. They've always helped me.

hey John.

I got the turbo from Jason Crader off of this board. He said that it is a TE60 from ATR. I have e-mailed ATR but they wouldn't give me any detailed info because that was "guarded" info. When I spoke to PTE they said they had no idea.

I like the turbo, it works great...just wanted to get the correct actuator on it. Oh well, I'll just make my own bracket I guess.

Any one have any specifics on the ATR TE60?

Thanks!

Guarded info?

PTE had no idea?

Sounds to me like they didn't try very hard to help you.

Call John & tell him what's going on. He won't let you down. It's entirely possible that the housing itself has been "clocked", & that might be contributing to the way it fits.

HTH

LOL i like that....Guarded info??

Makes u wonder how people stay in business with attitudes like that.

Unreal
