I run the biggie on both cars with the Baldwin B9.

They can order Baldwin from any Fleetpride Truckparts store. :)

About $6 out the door and it's a REAL filter. :D

Biggie fits (barely) with the V4 and a Mease stretch on the other car.

Used to use the Ultraguard Black Delco filters and wish they kept making them.

Biggie is a good alternative that allows use of a nice filter.

Just my .02.

i just installed my biggie today and a Delco pf24 so i havent had a chance to gather anything from it, but i definitly like the apperance of it, it is huge compared to the stock filter.

Comparisons
Testing (SAE HS806 test method) shows the AMSOIL Super Duty's capacity is significantly greater than that of competitive filters, including Mobil 1, Pure 1, Hard Drive, AC, Napa, Fram and Wix. In fact, as you can see in this chart, the capacity of the AMSOIL SDF is nearly 20% higher than its nearest competitor, Mobil 1. The Super Duty's advanced media blend, particularly the cellulose and synthetic media, provides this outstanding capacity.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Testing (SAE HS806 test method) also shows the AMSOIL Super Duty's efficiency is greater than that of competitive filters as well, including Mobil 1, Pure 1, Hard Drive, AC, Napa, Fram and Wix. The fineness and uniform strand shape of the Super Duty's glass and synthetic media give the filter its tremendous efficiency.

Purolator Pure one.. In ALL my cars. tried all of em and this one hold the best( anti drain valve) and uses silicone gasket and many pleats.. Its a pretty metallic blue too:)

Its a pretty metallic blue too

yeah guys we cant forget that the filter has to be pretty to
:D :D :D

I also run a Baldwin filter but have been thinking of replacing it with a System 1 filter. It uses a 40 micron wire mesh and is reuseable and screws into the same place as the standard filter. One of the best features is when it is twisted open you can see a collection area for any metal or debris. during oil changes I like to cut my filters open and it is messy and just a PITA! I think Jegs or Summit sell the System 1 and the price is $135.

I use a Baldwin B9 oil filter. It's suppost to raise your oil pressure a little and it's top of the line. I think they use them on semi's and other LARGE engines. Thats about all of the tech info I have.

You'll need a "biggie oil filter attachment". It replaces the hollow bolt thing that the filter screws into. $35 from a few places. Kirbans, RJC and Bweavy might even have one. RJC makes the biggie fitting.

You'll probably need to grind down your passenger side intercooler bracket. The B-9 touched the bracket on my car. I have a spare bracket if you need it. I also ordered 4 filters TODAY. I wish I would have seen your post b4 I ordered. Dont matter though, go to http://www.baldwinfilter.com/ and use the store locator. I'm sure Mobile has a few vendors. My local store dont carry B-9's but they order them for me. $4.09+tax.

The Turbo Saver...aka...turbo timer, check ebay. They keep your car running for a specific ammount of time after you shut it off. Then it shuts your car off automatically. It's very rice. Get one if you do alot of boostin' right before you shut your car off.

Preluber
PTE Filter Relocator
Mobile 1

During all those K Mart closings, the Mobile 1's were $1 each during the last week of the store. Picked up a bunch along with ones for my GTO and Talon. :D

Keep an eye open for those closing K Marts.;)

The turbosaver I was referring to is a remote oil filter that mounts behind the passenger headlight and feeds filtered oil to the Turbo. The theory is that if metal goes through the engine, it protects the turbo. When I spun a bearing last year, my turbo was fine, so at least in my case, it did it's job. You can also use the larger oil filters, like the PF35 and it's equivalents. A preluber is something entirely different.
