OK.....What kind of Trans Fluid does everyone run in their Turbo Buick 200 Trans? What type of abuse and use does your car see?

In my other cars/trucks with a 400 Turbo Trans I always run Havoline Type F.

Russ:cool:

Mobil 1 Synthetic, with 8 ounces of Lucas additive each change...in all the equipment.

HTH :)

I've been wondering this too. If I get a convertor before my engine goes back in then I want to switch out to type f. I'm using the regular Dexron III right now. The type f is supposed to make it shift a little firmer and decrease the temps slightly.

Amsoil super shift trans fluid mixed with Amsoil hydraulic oil. Works fine although expensive.

Hydraulic tractor fluid.. I forget what the name of it is but it's Bruces' secret stuff and you can search the archives for it..

Discount auto parts F fluid...........239,000 original miles.

WORKS FINE, ALTHOUGH CHEAP !!! :p

Are there any downsides to type F? does it run cooler or hotter in the trans? i want to switch, but my main concern is temperature and longevity(i cant really afford a rebuild anytime in the near future)
TIA

Type F will make it shift a lot harder, I have it in my car, but if I were trying to not ruin the tranny, I would put TrickShift in.

When my 200 wears out, i'll just buy a 700 :D

Mobile 424 Tractor Fluid. Plus a couple of quarts of Dextron for color (so that I can read the dipstick). ;)

Meant in a nice way but, why would you do a dopey thing like that?

We run a Chevron tractor hydralic with D-3 in all our units and like the results. But as you can see, everyone has a slightly different idea about the fluid. It all comes down to the same reason you chose a GN over another type of car, it's all personal choice. Most important thing is change your fluid and filter often and make sure everything is kept clean. Mark :D

hey danster ,after listening to each side of dark side of the moon ten times lol.

LMAO Chris. After that experience I didn't leave my house for 10 days back when that album first came out. Too funny man. I saw that avatar and my first though was an eclipse. lol,,,,, Mark:D
