what kind of trans

Well I was going to use the tranny out of my 87 t I had a few years back, trans would not shift out of first put good running trans out of my 85 in 87 ran good for a while. Then more trans problems, took to jimmys he did great job firm shifts car was running 11.5's sold car. Well fast forward own a t again have trans problems 1st slipping wanted to build trans from 87 & noticed that the tag on the tail shaft dose not say brf. This is what it says (blue tag) KJ F then it has a serial # 334-b92 KJ50555 is this a buick trans or somthing else? If so can I build this one sence out of car and who sells brf valve bodies extreme automatics anybody else. Also what main conponets should I need to look at for trans that will last for street some strip also wanted to try brake. Trying to find info for best bang for buck all help and oppions appericiated.

Looks like it's used with an Olds 307 Eng & 3.08/3.23 gear> THM 200-4R Information

You dont have to have the BRF to have a good transmission. I have ran a BRF, as well as one of the extreme automatics BRC valves bodies, and I like my BRC better.
