I saw where oliver makes an off the shelf 6" forged rod for a grand. would a longer say 6.5" be better? I know on a chevy rod length can make alot of difference, and a custom rod for the buick is only about 200 more. Also is a 6.500 rod need custom pistons or are they off the shelf? Eagle crank in a capped stage one.

I am no rocket scientist, but the rod ratio is one of the factors when considering longer rods. Typically, in a stroker application is when you NEED longer rods than the 5.95" stock rods to keep the side loading down. I do not believe this is a issue with stock length rods and a 3.40" stroke crank since we know the stock motors work.
