What options for a new chip?

I want a new chip burned for my specific combo and was wondering what options are available now. I have heard of things such as lean cruise for better fuel economy and having the "check engine" light come on at a certain rpm to act as a shift light. Are these real options? If so, what other "weird" or new options can be burned and who can do these? Thanks.
