I finally got my car running last night and took it out for a quick hwy run. At 60 mph it was turning around 2300 rpms. It's a new non-BRF 200-4r with a Pro Torque 3200 stall converter. It just felt like it wasn't locked for some reason..........anyway, what RPM's do you guys turn with your cars at 60 mph???? Is there a calculation formula somewhere to calculate this???

2300? The converter is not locked.

I'm not sure what mine was at 60 but I do know that at 70 it was 2000 - 2100

I would guess at 60 it should be 1700 - 1800

That's not right, just drove it today and at 75mph I was almost dead on 2300rpm ( aftermarket tach ) and I have 27" tall tires which are 2mph off so I'm really 77mph.

I believe at 60mph I was round 1900 but I'll check tomorrow.

Are you clearly hearing the 4th shift and then the lockup engage?

How are you reading the rpms?
