okay... here goes.
car is warm, i take the filter off, fill the new pf52 filter with oil and put it on hand tight, not very tight at all. start the car and no oil pressure (!!). go out to the filter and loosen it a little, go back to the oil p gauge and pressure is restored.. i go back over to the filter and even though i had loosened it, its now tight again, but you can wiggle it a bit side to side.. i twisted it a little to make sure it really was tight and BLAM the o ring pops out of the groove and oil sprays everywhere. im messy and im confused.
how the hell is that little stud taking the slack up by itself ????? and more importantly how much damage couldve been caused by the no oil p for a dozen seconds or so at idle?
