i have the stock turbo sitting in the garage , the compressor wheel is chewd-up and the compressor housing has some gouges in it, because the seal went. My questions are can this be rebuilt ? Is it worth it to rebuild? Can i upgrade it to a bigger compressor? where do I get the parts? And of course how much about? Seems a waste just to let it sit, I ve already replaced it with a Ta-49 on the car so this is just for experience.

you should be able to dig up a new wheel and compressor housing, but you'd need to have the whole thing rebalanced. This essentially means that you'd have a core turbocharger for a rebuild. Find a person with another turbo that's got a seized shaft, should have a good compressor wheel and center section on it. I've got a hot air turbo with a seized shaft, but I"m thinking of holding on to it for the above reason, and because I'm thinking about using the compressor housing as a fan input for a PC case cooler (eg badass turbo PC case)
